Integrative Learning Experience
Tulane University of Louisiana · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Students complete an Integrative Learning Experience (ILE) that demonstrates their ability to synthesize foundational and concentration-specific competencies. Students work with a faculty advisor to develop a project that addresses a public health problem or practice issue aligned with their academic and professional goals. The project culminates in a written product that documents attainment of the required competencies. The ILE is completed at or near the end of the student’s program of study (typically during the final year or term). Successful completion requires submission of a signed ILE Completion Form to the Office of Academic Affairs.
