Catalog description

This course, taught in English and with no prerequisites, introduces students to Latin American and Latinx cultural studies from a global perspective, connecting them to pressing cultural, social, and political issues of our time. The course topics will vary from semester to semester; possible subjects include food in Latinx identity, futbol (soccer) in Latin America, and representations of love in Latin American film, among others. The course does not count towards the SPAN major or minor.
