Catalog description

This course develops advanced competencies in designing, implementing, and sustaining multisector collaborations in public health practice. The course focuses on how to synthesize diverse stakeholders across systems such as health care, housing, education, business, and community organizations. Students will learn to analyze power and governance structures, apply equity-centered frameworks, and negotiate strategies that bridge institutional silos. Assignments emphasize applied systems practice, including stakeholder landscape analysis, partnership equity audits and redesign, and the development of a collaborative public health intervention proposal. The course highlights how multisector approaches advance population health, address social determinants of health, and promote equity beyond the scope of single-program or single-organization planning.
