Evidence-Based Program Planning for Health Equity

This doctoral-level course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced principles and practices in public health program planning, with a strong emphasis on needs assessment and program design. Students will critically examine theoretical frameworks, evidence-based models, and practical tools used to identify community health needs and translate findings into effective, sustainable intervention strategies. Through case studies, applied projects, and scholarly analysis, learners will develop competencies in stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision-making, logic model development, and culturally responsive program design. The course prepares future public health leaders to conceptualize, plan, and evaluate complex programs that address health disparities and improve population health outcomes.
