Catalog description

This is an application course that will focus on advanced leadership and advocacy skills essential for successful deployment of public health initiatives. Students will conduct an environmental scan and mixed methods stakeholder assessment, evaluating the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) for an organization or entity. Results of the assessment will produce the analysis from which students will develop a responsive strategic plan to address identified needs in the community. Data-driven plans will include human, fiscal, and other resources required to achieve the strategic goal, as well as strategies to improve health equity and identify advocacy opportunities for all populations.
