Catalog description

This course is designed for DrPH students to analyze frameworks and theories to formulate advancements in public health practice toward health equity. Specifically, you will integrate health equity theories and frameworks into public health policies, programs, or interventions. In this course, you will compare various established and emerging health equity frameworks in public health practice. As public health practice evolves to meet the aims of health equity, public health practitioners must be able to understand and revise approaches to align with the unique needs of the communities they serve. As public health practitioners recognize the complex systems and threats to health equity, this course will introduce students to theories that will explain these threats and design approaches to overcome them.
