Catalog description

SBPS 7940 advances supervised practice through clinical rotations and an advanced placement experience tailored to student interests. Students implement medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process across inpatient and outpatient settings, interpret clinical data, and prepare documentation consistent with professional standards. Activities may include Nutrition Focused Physical Exam skills practice, ADIME notes, case conferences, and interprofessional collaboration. Students complete learning contracts, reflections, and digital portfolios to demonstrate competency. Successful completion supports eligibility for the CDR Registration Examination when combined with their graduate degree.
