Catalog description

This course provides an advanced exploration of Medical Nutrition Therapy for diverse clinical conditions across acute, chronic, and specialized care settings. Students will integrate pathophysiology with evidence-based nutrition assessment, intervention, and monitoring using the Nutrition Care Process framework. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, nutrition-focused physical examination, and application of current practice guidelines. Through interactive lectures, case-based learning, and collaborative discussions, students develop skills to design and evaluate individualized nutrition care plans, communicate effectively in interprofessional teams, and apply ethical and culturally responsive approaches to patient care.
