Catalog description

This course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to cognitive psychology. Topics focus on how the mind processes and organizes information, and it will specifically examine mental processes like perception, attention, memory, language, problem-solving, and decision-making. The course explores the theoretical underpinnings of the field as well as current and future directions. Students will, overall, gain a deeper understanding of the cognitive mechanisms that underlie human behavior. Pre-requisite note: For students who take PSYC 1100 as the pre-requisite, a minimum grade of a B is required.
