This course provides students with a substantive look at LGBTQ Politics in the United States, from ancient political approaches to sexuality, to the rise of LGBTQ communities in the United States in the early 1900s. Then, the course examines decades of LGBTQ people and issues, stakeholders, evolutions, gains, losses, and the modern push for LGBTQ civil rights progress.
