Catalog description

The BSM Capstone is intended to be an immersive experience, one that bridges the knowledge, skills, and concepts acquired from core and elective business classes in the Bachelor of Science of Management degree and applies them to real world situations. Student teams, utilizing the proven Capstone methodology of WHAT, WHY & HOW, develop solutions to these real-world situations that reflect critical thinking discipline, financial modeling, market positioning insight, strategy formulation, innovation, creativity and practicality. Both Harvard-type business cases and engagements with real operating companies and organizations are part of the Capstone experience. When working outside the classroom, students interface with executives, consultants and board members, eventually providing formal presentations to this audience outlining the solutions they recommend be pursued. The Capstone prepares students to be immediately impactful business professionals as they begin their careers, with honed analytic and presentation skills, complex problem-solving abilities and a humble, yet confident presence in executive settings.
