This course examines the operational and institutional structures that support student-athletes within collegiate sport organizations. Students explore the core functions of athletic department units, including academic services, compliance, sports medicine, media relations, and administration, and analyze how these areas coordinate to promote athlete performance, well-being, and eligibility. Emphasis is placed on understanding the athlete support network from recruitment through post-eligibility and developing practical skills for effective collaboration.
