Catalog description

This is a capstone course for the Master of Health Administration program. This course teaches design thinking principles to equip students with innovative tools for healthcare leadership and integrates those tools with current topics in health administration. Students will engage in hands-on projects to master design thinking tools and demonstrate proficiency in each of the competencies of the MHA program: leadership and influence, financial skills, analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal effectiveness, professionalism and ethics, strategic orientation, information seeking, and process management. By the end of the course, students will know how to design and lead projects in healthcare organizations that are adaptive, patient-centered, and innovative.
