Catalog description

In the health care system, vast amounts of diagnostic, procedural, pharmacy, administrative, and financial data are continuously generated and collated. To ensure financial health, operational efficiency, and high-quality care, it is essential for stakeholders to transform this data into actionable insights that support informed decision-making. This introductory graduate-level course equips students with the skills to utilize industry-standard analytical tools, with a focus on Microsoft Excel©, to analyze and interpret large-scale institutional data commonly encountered in health care. Through practical applications and hands-on exercises, students will learn to convert complex data sets into meaningful information that drives strategic decisions and enhances organizational performance.
