Catalog description

This course examines the recent past so students can better understand the present. It begins with Y2K and the turn of the century. Most students grew up during this era, and this class will challenge them to see the events of the 21st century in a historical perspective. Units may include the US wars in the Middle East post-9/11, Hurricane Katrina, the 2008 Financial Crisis, and 21st century elections.
