Catalog description
This course emphasizes the scientific basis for anthropogenic climate change and provides students with skills needed to analyze a variety of climate datasets. Topics covered in this course include the physics behind the climate system, how climate has changed in the past and reasons why contemporary climate change is different, and how scientists use models to predict future climate. Students will also learn computer coding skills that enable them to address questions at the forefront of climate science.
