Catalog description

The Capstone Seminar is the culminating academic and professional experience for students enrolled in the MS program in Disaster Resilience Leadership within Tulane University’s Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy (DRLA). The course is designed to support students in the development, execution, and dissemination of a practice-oriented, data-informed capstone project that demonstrates mastery of disaster resilience leadership competencies. Capstone projects integrate theory, evidence, and applied practice to address complex disaster resilience challenges across local, national, or global contexts. The seminar emphasizes leadership, solutions focused, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world applicability consistent with graduate-level disaster management and resilience programs.
