Catalog description

Professional film pre-production and development practices are analyzed and implemented in this course. Writing the script or proposal, selecting the cast/securing documentary participants, choosing locations, budgeting, financing, securing rights, art directing, and breaking the script down for scheduling the capstone film will be completed in this high intensity course. At the completion of this two-semester course, each student will participate in a public screening of their film. Students must receive a C or better to advanced to DMPC 5560 Advanced Digital Filmmaking II, and students must receive a B- or better in order to be greenlit by faculty to direct their film in DMPC 5560 .
