Catalog description

This practical workshop class will prepare students to develop, pitch, shoot, edit and submit a short documentary to a film festival. During the semester, students will hone the skills necessary to improve their aesthetic, approach, and presentation as a non-fiction cinematographer, producer, or director. This course will teach students professionalism, technical production and performance skills to prepare them for future work as independent documentary filmmakers or members of a production crew. Previously listed as DMPC 3050. Students must receive a C or better in DMPC 2003 to advance to DMPC 5550 Advanced Digital Filmmaking I.
