An advanced laboratory that serves to introduce state-of-the-art laboratory techniques utilized in the practice of organic chemistry. This intensive course includes molecular synthesis, chromatographic separations of chemical mixtures, distillation, natural product isolation, as well as characterization of organic molecules using multiple, advanced spectroscopic techniques. One four-hour laboratory period per week.
