Catalog description

This course lays the foundation for computing and statistics in the chemical engineering curriculum. Introduction to computing topics include variable types, reading/writing files, plotting, programming logic, matrix algebra. Introduction to statistics concepts include models of random variables, estimation, and uncertainty propagation. This class will be taught using both Excel and Python. Examples highlight a diverse range of chemical engineering applications.
