Catalog description

Students will identify and examine the functions and implementation of Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), including record-keeping, collection and storage of compliance data, supporting efficiency, tracking data to advance business strategies, and employee self-service; investigate the uses of HRIS to support applicant tracking systems, payroll, benefits administration, workhours and attendance, training, performance management, reporting & analytics, and succession planning; and recognize the methods and benefits of HRIS certification. This course will not satisfy requirements toward majors in the School of Liberal Arts or the A.B. Freeman School of Business. credit hours: 3
