Catalog description

The objective of this course is to provide students with tools to meet regulatory, scientific, and product development challenges in real-world medtech innovation. The material covered supplements and extends the needs-finding, product design, and company-building skills found in traditional biodesign and capstone courses. In this course, students: will learn to develop and present a research strategy to retire scientific risk; gain an understanding of regulatory paths and risk management activities sufficient to evaluate projects and collaborate with regulatory professionals; and create a comprehensive, practical development plan for a medtech product.
