Catalog description

This course covers the role of accounting and the accounting profession in the larger context of capital markets and the value of the firm. Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) pronouncements are applied to analyze firms, and current issues in the accounting and financial analyst profession are evaluated. This is a practical, hands-on projectbased course for future accountants and financial analysts.
