Designed for students in the Accelerated MSN program, this course explores how disease or injury disrupts the normal functions of the human system and how these changes lead to health consequences. Examines physiological adaptive responses to internal and external dimensions, including genetics, ethnicity, environment, and age. Emphasizes concepts with clinical relevance to support critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based nursing interventions. Prepares students to recognize signs and symptoms of disease, interpret clinical findings, and understand disease progression to inform patient care planning.
