Explores both normal childbearing families and childbearing families with health alterations in response to internal and external environmental dimensions. Examines the interrelationships among the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritualcomponents of the childbesring experience. Emphasizes evidence-based clinical decisions for the utilization of therapeutic nursing interventions, communication, and collaboration in a caring environment for the promotion of optimal health saes of childbearing families.
