Great Leaders
Troy University · Fall 2026
Catalog description
We significantly increase our understanding of leadership if we view leadership as practiced in the context of the world around us. An excellent way to do this is to evaluate the lives of those who have been recognized as great leaders in many different eras and fields and environments. The issues they facedand how they led provide wonderful insight on how to lead. We will analyze their successes and their failures and learn from both. We will evaluate the best of leadership practices by studying the lives of great leaders thoughtout history. This course is designed for students who are in the Leadership Minor and have completed LDR 1100 and LDR 2200 and who have either completed or are currently taking LDR 3300.
