Freshman Honors Seminar: Global Perspectives: Ideas, Events, Aesthetics, and Opportunities: This freshman seminar is an intensive, discussion-based course delivered by invited Honors faculty (e.g., Provost's Fellows/ Mallone Award/ Ingalls Award winners) that integrates the study of significant thinkers, current events, aesthetics, and professional development through a global lens. Students will engage in critical discussions, collaborative projects, and reflective practices to develop a comprehensive understanding of how global challenges, cultural diversity, and interdisciplinary perspectives shape contemporary issues. This course offers opportunities for small groups of students to engage in discussion of course materials, to interact with alumni and noted guest speakers, and to receive close mentorship from the faculty member, all of which enable students to begin thinking of their career and future paths. Topics will vary based on the professor's expertise and local travel may be required depending on the teaching professor's discretion.
