Critical Analysis Skills

Catalog description
This course is designed for advanced students who have successfully completed level 6. The objective of the course is to intensify the skills learned in previous levels and better equip the student with college-level skills. Students will be reading content-based maerials featuring American History, American Literature, and Sociology. Sudents will learn more academic vocabulary and further develop critical thinking skills to effectively respondto those materials through paragraph writing, summarizing, paraphrasing, and classroom discussions. Upon completion of the course, students will have gained greater confidence in their ability to read, comprehend, and analyze college-level materials and to succeed in their major fields of study.
