Catalog description
Prepares students for the demands of academic lecture comprehension and note taking. Many organ- izational plans such as definition, description, cause and effect, process, examples, classifica- tion, comparison and contrast, and generalization will be studied. The course will emphasize how to evaluate organize, and predict information in lec- tures. Exercies in vocabulary acquisition and lan- guage cue recognition are included. Listening Lab requirement: 1 hour per week.
