Catalog description

This interdisciplinary course introduces fundamental engineering concepts relevant to Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Materials Engineering. Students will explore core engineering principles, problem-solving methodologies, and the engineering design process while gaining exposure to computational tools, technical communication, and ethical considerations. The course emphasizes real-world applications through hands-on projects, teamwork, and case studies, fostering critical thinking and innovation. Topics include circuit fundamentals, basic programming, materials properties, biomedical devices, and emerging technologies, preparing students for advanced coursework and engineering problem-solving in their respective fields.
