Catalog description

Characteristics of the learner and the teaching-learning process will be explored. Theories of learning, instruction and motivation, and their application to reaching students in grades P - 12 will be addressed. This course also provides a study of measurement and evaluation techniques for the classroom teacher. Emphasis will be placed on the selection, evaluation, adminstration, scoring, and interpretation of selected measurement of student performance, achievement and behavior. The student will demonstrate skills in utilizing measurement data to plan appropriate learning activities for students.
