Catalog description

This course provides a supervised clinical internship experience in an approved rehabilitation counseling setting. Students engage in a range of professional rehabilitation counseling activities consistent with the roles and responsibilities of a regularly employed rehabilitation counselor, including vocational assessment, case management, counseling interventions, consultation, advocacy, coordination of services, and professional documentation within interdisciplinary and community-based settings. Internship experiences are supported by regularly scheduled weekly group supervision and site supervision in accordance with CACREP requirements. The course requires a minimum of 600 clock hours of internship experience, including at least 240 hours of direct service with clients during the semester. Grading is Pass/Fail.
