Clinical Pathophysiology I

Clinical Pathophysiology is the study of the changes that occur in the body as a result of disease or injury. Through a combination of lectures, class discussions, reading assignments, and case studies, we will examine how these changes disrupt normal physiologic processes and lead to the signs and symptoms of various health conditions. This course is the first in a two-art series and is ideal for anyone who plans a career in a health care related field. Clinical Pathophysiology I will focus on the cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, renal, and hematologic systems, covering the most common causes of chest pain, dyspnea, edema, fatigue, hypertension, hypotension, bleeding/bruising, and kidney disease.
