Catalog description

Biology, Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation of birds. Topics include the origin and diversification of birds, seasonal migrations, bird communities, and the consequences of global change for bird diversity. Labs are integrated and include field trips for the observation and identification of birds and a project developed by students. Prerequisite: Principles of Biology (BIO 1100) and General Ecology (BO 2229), or permission of the instructor.
