Dendrology is a field and laboratory investigation of ecologically and commercially important species of trees, shrubs, and woody vines in the United States with a particular focus on native and naturalizes taxa in the Southeast. The roles of the arborescent species in shaping the natural communities and ecoregions of Alabama will be emphasized.
