Catalog description
This course is designed to provide pre-nursing students develop a solid, basic understanding of anatomy and physiology. The format of the course is to combine descriptions of anatomy with explanations of how structures function and examples of how they work to maintain life. Also, included in this course are discussions of how the systems respond to aging, changes in physical activity, and disease, with a special focus on homeostasis and the regulatory mechanisms that maintain it. A&P II covers the endocrine, hematologic, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, lymph/immune, urinary, and reproductive systems. Note: Credit will not count toward a major or minor in the biological sciences.
