Catalog description

A detailed review of a psychotherapy that is evidence based in the field of psychology. Dialectical Behavior Therapy teaches the importance of mindfulness, regulating emotions, interpersonal effectiveness and distress tolerance for clients. This course, taught in a group setting, systematically guides students through each module, with an emphasis on understanding and applying the interventions associated with each component. Prerequisite: PSY 113
