Neuroscience of Occupations

Catalog description

Study of the basic organization, structure, function, and pathology of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems. In addition, students will demonstrate understanding of the structure and function of the human body, including the biological and physical sciences, neurosciences, kinesiology, and biomechanics. This course emphasizes an understanding of the impacts of sensory, motor, cognitive, psychological, emotional, and spiritual client factors as they relate to human engagement in occupation. The two hours of lab time will be spent in the cadaver/ wet lab or dry lab. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the previous semester.
