Catalog description

This course prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students for national certification by integrating content across the lifespan and emphasizing clinical reasoning, diagnostic decision-making, and evidence-based management. Students review acute and chronic disease processes, pharmacology, health promotion, and preventive care while practicing test-taking strategies and case-based application. Emphasis is placed on synthesis of knowledge, critical thinking, and application of advanced practice competencies to ensure readiness for the FNP certification examination and safe, effective independent practice. PREREQUISITE : Must be taken in the final semester.
