Catalog description

This course examines the health needs of populations within the community. Factors influencing the health of communities are investigated. Students appraise the role and core competencies of community health nurses in the prevention of disease and the promotion of health. A 50-hour practicum experience will focus on planning care for a selected population in the community. Prerequisite: NRS 303
