Catalog description

This course discusses theoretical and practical ideas related to data acquisition of both analog and digital signals. Students will: analyze circuits for measuring with resistive and capacitive sensors; identify noise sources in instrumentation systems; compare wired and wireless bus technologies; use Labview, Python, or other software tools for data acquisition and analysis; design and test a low-cost hand-held sensor system. Corequisite: ECE 481 ; Prerequisite: ECE 213
