Catalog description

This course prepares students for all subsequent circuits-based courses. Linear circuit analysis is studied by placing emphasis on the modified nodal admittance matrix method and circuit transformations. Students will: predict energy transfer in capacitors and inductors; predict the response of linear circuits operating in dc steady state; predict the response of linear circuits operating in the sinusoidal steady state; use simulation and mathematical tools to verify analysis results. Corequisite: MA 164
