Catalog description

Throughout this course, basic hacking techniques will be explored through a hands-on lab. Through simulations, students will engage in hacking beginner level environments. Students will explore malware, network sniffing, social engineering, and denial of service concepts. Additionally, students will learn how to gain access, use privilege escalation, maintain access, and clear tracks. Professional report writing will also be covered. Corequisite: CSIT 363
