Catalog description

This course introduces the basic terms and issues of artificial intelligence. It describes knowledge representation and search methods, and learning systems like genetic algorithms and neural networks. The course describes information models and systems, database systems data modeling, and both relational databases and query languages. Students will: Recognize and implement intelligent agents; identify appropriate search strategies for solving a problem; apply local search techniques to a classic domain; select an appropriate heuristic search algorithm; analyze data using different programming languages; and implement concepts of Big Data and data science. Prerequisites: CS 1113
