Catalog description

Students are introduced to the principles of safety and risk management in construction. Topics include OSHA standards, hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of comprehensive safety plans for construction projects. The course explores case studies to highlight the importance of ethics in safety decisions and addresses the legal implications of safety violations. Students gain hands-on experience in creating and implementing safety policies for real-world scenarios. Prerequisite: ENG 133
