Catalog description

This course highlights the importance of the leadership role within local, national, and global health care systems regarding emergency and disaster management. Students explore the impact of natural and man-made disasters in a variety of health care settings to include but not limited to healthcare services, personnel services, training and development, preparedness and applicable emergency and disaster management policies at all agency levels. Stud ents will identify and conduct external research to conduct a critical analysis on the relationship between a public health system and its interagency cooperation with local, national and or international emergency and disaster management system during an emergency and or disaster.
