Catalog description

This course explores the policies and foundations of health care professions from the health policie s and ethical perspective. Investigates current ethical issues and applies ethical theories and principles to the resolution of ethical dilemmas. Promotes currency and excellence in professional practice and fosters moral/ethical decision making. Topics covered include privacy and confidentiality, reproductive rights, medical futility and allocation of scarce resources, and end-of-life decision making.
