Catalog description

Students in this this course will explore legal and ethical issues impacting institutions through examining case studies as well as become familiar with the legal responsibilities and the legal powers of states and local governments. Students will explore federal and state statutes, due process, liability, equal protection, and the rights of faculty and students to navigate the ethical and legal risks occurring in institutions.
