Group Counseling in a School Setting

Catalog description

In this course, students will study the dynamics and primary methods to group counseling with importance on starting a counseling group, leading groups effectively, and evaluating outcomes. Understanding of group procedures, leadership, and membership is s tressed. Support and self - help groups are included along with the ethical issues distinctive to group settings. A ten hour practicum is required for this course.
